Security Notice

Dear owners,

 

Unfortunately a number of thefts have been reported from Holiday Homes on the Village over the recent weeks.  This is a real concern and we want to reassure you that we are working with the local police and have further increased our security presence on the Village and the frequency of our patrols and are installing additional security measures.

 

The initial thefts did not involve breaking in or entering the holiday home, items had been taken from the decking and had not been secured. Security have since carried out a walk round of every Holiday Homes and focused attention on informing owners to secure any valuable items. Over the last week, a further 3 thefts have occurred which have been break in’s and it appears TV’s and electrical equipment are now the items being targeted.

 

From our investigations we have found that none of the holiday homes had intruder alarms or CCTV activated at the time of the incident.  We want to work with you to prevent any further instances and politely request that you:  

 

  • Ensure your holiday homes are secure before leaving the Village (lock all windows and doors).
  • Do not leave any valuables on display within the holiday home or on the decking (ideally close curtains/blinds when leaving the property)
  • Ensure items on your decking (bikes etc) are secured
  • Ensure external storage units / sheds are secured
  • Report any suspicious activity to the security department immediately on 01772 674444
  • Please ensure that any contractors attending your holiday home sign in at the sales office
  • Please ensure your Home-owner badge is visible in your parked car.
  • Use Ribby Hall approved contractors where possible to undertake work on your holiday home
     

Also :

  • If you have an intruder alarm ensure it is activated when you are not at the property
  • If you have CCTV advise Security and please pass on any images captured
  • If you have any high value items at your holiday home which you feel could be targeted, please let security know
  • If you do not currently have an alarm, we strongly encourage you to purchase one.  The Sales office can organise this for you, please contact them if you would like a quotation.
