As Orangery Duty Manager, you will help position The Orangery as “the place to dine”—creating memorable experiences while leading and inspiring a high-performing front-of-house team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for day-to-day restaurant operations in the absence of the Orangery Management team
- Support the delivery of operational and financial objectives, including cost control in line with P&L targets
- Lead by example on the floor, maintaining a visible presence and enhancing guest satisfaction at every touchpoint
- Handle guest feedback professionally, resolving issues swiftly and effectively
- Assist with training, coaching and development to build a confident and skilled team
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and allergen regulations
- Drive exceptional service standards in collaboration with the Learning & Development team
- Maximise revenue through effective upselling and product knowledge
- Maintain strong communication across departments to support overall business success
About You
We’re looking for a confident and motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.
You will have
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality or fine dining
- Strong food & beverage knowledge, including allergens (WSET qualification desirable but not essential)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent customer service and front-of-house standards
- Experience managing health & safety compliance (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform calmly under pressure with excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- Professional presentation and a genuine passion for hospitality
Working Hours & Salary
This is a full-time opportunity offering 45 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and evenings, where flexibility is key to supporting a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality environment.
