How long can we provisionally hold a suite before we pay the deposit?

Two weeks

Can the number of guests on a package be changed?

Minimum numbers apply however you can add additional guests. Please ask your Wedding Coordinator for a quote.

How do I confirm my Wedding?

You will be asked to sign and contract including our terms and conditions and pay a non-refundable £500 deposit.

What is the payment schedule?

Once you have paid your initial deposit of £500 there is nothing to pay until 6 months prior to your Wedding Day, which is £1500, then your final balance is payable 2 weeks before the day. 

Would you recommend wedding insurance?

Yes, we highly recommend that every wedding at Ribby Hall Village has the appropriate insurance. This not only gives you the protection should circumstances beyond your control arise but also peace of mind on your special day.

What do I need to do to book a Civil Ceremony at Ribby Hall Village?

Once you have booked your wedding with us you can contact the registry office from 1 year in advance of your wedding date. You can contact them on 0300 123 6705 to book your ceremony time. You will also have to give notice of marriage to the superintendant registrar of the district in which you live. This notice must be given by you both and is valid for 12 months. An attendance fee for the superintendant registrar is payable to them in advance.

What music can we have for the ceremony?

Ribby Hall Village can help you organise different forms of music, e.g. harpist etc. We will also be happy to play any CD that you wish to provide for the ceremony. We would recommend four tracks, one for walking down the aisle, two for signing the register and one for the newlyweds walking out of the ceremony. Please note that ceremony music must be non religious. You may also provide music for the arrival of your guests if you wish, or alternatively, Ribby Hall Village will play background music.

Is VAT included?

Yes, all prices include the current rate of VAT at the time of print.

Can we throw confetti?

Yes, you may throw biodegradable confetti in selected outdoor areas. Please ask your Wedding Coordinator for details. Please note, confetti bombs and party poppers are not permitted.

Can I provide all guests with multiple menu options?

The packages are based on all guests having the same menu, however you can offer your guests up to three choices for your starter (including one soup option), main course and dessert, at a supplement of £2 per person. This must include a vegetarian option and preorders are required, in table order, 2 weeks prior to your wedding.

Can you accommodate guests with dietary requirements?

Ribby Hall Village has taken steps to identify dishes and ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for guests with particular food allergies. Please discuss with our team any concerns you may have or ask for guidance from us.

Do you recommend any entertainment?

Ribby Hall Village has various entertainers who we highly recommend, please ask your Wedding Coordinator for our Finishing Touches brochure. We are also happy for you to select your own entertainment, providing they supply us with public liability insurance to a value of £5 million and safety electrical certification. Please note only Ribby Hall Village’s chocolate fountain can be booked, no other supplier can be used.

What time does the bar close?

Bar closes at 12.30 am with music until 1 am Friday and Saturday evenings. Sunday to Thursday the bar closes at 11.30 pm with music until 12 am.

At what stage do we go through finer details of the day?

Once you have booked your wedding our Wedding Coordinators are on hand throughout the planning process should you have any questions. We will invite you back to the village three months before your wedding to go through finer details. From this time you will have a single point of contact to discuss any alterations or queries you may have leading up to your special day. We will then meet again two weeks before your wedding to go through everything once more, which is when we require final numbers, a copy of your table plan, any dietary requirements and final payment.
