Accommodation Guide

Welcome to your accommodation! We're sure you have some questions about how everything works and where everything lives. We've covered a range of topics from how to use your hot tub to where you'll find our laundrette.

With the exception of The Motel rooms, feel free to BBQ outside your accommodation. Disposable BBQs can be purchased from the SPAR shop, along with a wide selection of BBQ food and condiments.
Please ensure you follow the safety procedures below:
  • Always have plenty of water on hand should it be required
  • Never leave the BBQ burning unattended
  • Never lay a BBQ on the grass
  • Ensure the BBQ is completely extinguished after use
  • Do not empty hot charcoal into a bin
  • Do not place a BBQ on wooden or picnic tables
  • The only fuel permitted for BBQs is lump wood charcoal
  • Only proprietary BBQ lighting products may be used

The White House, Villanova, The Coach House & The Farmhouse have Traeger wood fired BBQs - please use the instructions provided. Please clean the BBQ after each use and leave in the condition in which it was found. We reserve the right to charge guests £25 if the BBQ is left unclean. Non-slip bath mats are provided and we recommend you use them. If this is missing contact Holiday Guest Reception.

All beds are made up prior to arrival (except cots). Additional pillows and duvets can be requested from Holiday Guest Reception. Bed linen may also be exchanged by contacting Holiday Guest Reception – whereby a small charge may apply in certain circumstances. Do not bring linen to Holiday Guest Reception. A complimentary linen change once a week is available for guests staying for one week or more on request

Available to guests staying in our Lakeside View 1 and Lakeside View 2 properties only. To use our boats and paddleboards on the lake, contact the Reeds Bay Warden or Security who will meet you at the lake and provide you with the relevant equipment. Visit the Warden’s Hut located in the parking area of the Lakeside Apartments or call Security on 01772 674444.

Your accommodation has been set automatically to the following
temperatures using the automatic mode:

You can alter the temperature manually using the +/- keys.
Please note: The thermostat will refer back to its original settings
after 2 hours. Should you experience any problems with your hot
water or central heating during your stay please contact the Holiday
Guest Reception
 
Underfloor Heating - If you are staying in a property with underfloor heating, you can see a guide on how to use it here - Underfloor Heating User Guide. If you have trouble, please contact Guest Reception, where a member of our team  will be happy to help you.

A complimentary cleaning pack can be found in your kitchen containing 2 black bin liners, a dishcloth, a scouring pad/sponge, a sachet of washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets (if applicable). Additional items can be purchased from the Spar shop.

Guests must provide their own sharps boxes and regulatory yellow clinical waste bags. Sharps boxes must be taken with guests on departure. Clinical waste must be separated from general waste. Full bags can be taken to Housekeeping adjacent to The Spa Hotel where a clinical waste bin is available for disposable.

All ovens are electric and hobs are gas, which have an integrated ignitor button on the appliance. If you require help or specific instructions please contact Holiday Guest Reception. All gas appliances are subject to annual gas safety inspections and all electrical appliances are tested annually.

Travel cots and highchairs are included in all properties free of charge. If you do need to request an additional cot or highchair please contact Holiday Guest Reception.

Sufficient crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils are provided. Should you find certain items missing or damaged, please inform Holiday Guest Reception and we shall arrange for replacement items to be brought to your accommodation as quickly as possible. We do reserve the right to charge for missing and broken items.

Operating instructions for accommodation with dishwashers:
1. To load the dishwasher, firstly remove any scraps of food from the dishes and arrange the items for washing appropriately
2. Slide the baskets back into the machine
3. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely
4. Place the dishwasher tablet in the detergent dispenser on the door and close the dispenser lid
5. Turn the dishwasher on by pressing the power button 6. Select the desired programme and press the start button to begin the wash cycle At the end of the programme, switch off and wait 15 minutes before opening the door to allow the dishwasher to cool down and to avoid scalding when emptying the dishwasher.
Dishwasher tablets are included in the complimentary cleaning packs and additional dishwasher tablets can be purchased from the SPAR shop. If you experience any problems with your dishwasher please contact Holiday Guest Reception.

We are committed to creating an inclusive, dog-friendly environment that respects the needs of all our guests.

  • Dogs should be kept on lead when outside your accommodation unless in designated areas such as the Bark Park.
  • Dogs are welcome in many of our bars and restaurants.
  • Please make use of the dog bins provided.
  • Please remember to bring water bowls, dog beds and your dog’s favourite toys from home.

If you're staying in one of our dog-friendly properties, we ask that you pick up after your dog at all times; including in the garden area of your cottage. We reserve the right to charge you a clean up fee of £150 if evidence of dog foul is present on your departure. We thank you for your co-operation.

All of the above properties have Complimentary use to our Project EV Car Charging Points.

If you require access to the EV car charging point, please contact Guest Services between 9am and 5pm on 01772 674 599 or Security outside of these times on 01772 674 444 and an RFID activation card will be delivered to you.

We kindly ask that you return the RFID swipe card upon departure to the Holiday Guest Reception.

*Please be mindful that the two charging units are for communal use of the following properties, The Dairy, The Hay Barn, The Granary & The Stables.

How to use:

  • Plug the cable in to the vehicle and the charge point
  • Lock your vehicle
  • Hold the card against the charge point
  • The charge point should then flash blue and then turn to a solid blue light. This shows it is charging
  • When finished, unlock your and unplug your vehicle
  • Return your EV Charge Cards to Guest Services on check out

All of our Signature Properties, Diamond Cottages & Dog-Friendly Plus Cottage have hot tubs. Our Housekeeping Team service all hot tubs on a daily basis, checking the water and chemical levels to ensure the water quality is maintained. Hot tubs are emptied and refilled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please read the procedures provided for safe use. If you have any queries regarding the use of your hot tub please ask a member of staff when they come to service your hot tub or contact Holiday Guest Reception.
Hot Tub Health, Safety & Hygiene
In the interest of your safety and enjoyment whilst on holiday we have prepared a few points that we would like to bring to your attention. Please familiarise yourself with safety information at your accommodation prior to using the hot tub.
 
  • You must shower before and after using the Hot Tub.
  • Please ensure all children use the toilet before using the Hot Tub.
  • Do not take any soaps or shampoos into the Hot Tub.
  • Children under the age of 8 are not permitted in the Hot Tub.
  • Ensure your children are properly supervised whilst using the Hot Tub. No children between the age of 8 and 12 to enter the Hot Tub unless accompanied by an adult.
  • Limit your stay to 15 minutes at any one time.
  • Avoid using immediately after a heavy meal or following consumption of alcohol.
  • Please do not take food, drink or any glass container into the Hot Tub.
  • Please be aware that some jewellery and clothing may discolour due to immersion in the Hot Tub.
  • You must seek medical approval before using the Hot Tub; if you are pregnant, or suffer from medical condition adversely affected by heat or have any open sores or cuts.
  • No children or adult with a recent history of diarrhea should enter the Hot Tub.
  • Ensure the cover is used when the Hot Tub is not in operation to prevent children accidently entering the water.
  • During your stay, maintenance will test the water on a daily basis in order to maintain the water in a safe condition. However, failure to observe these rules may result in the Hot Tub being out of action during your visit for further essential water treatment.
  • If we have to close the use of the Hot Tub for any reason it will be in the interests of safety and cannot accept any liability for loss of enjoyment of the facility.

Irons and ironing boards are provided in all properties and can be found in the store room/cupboard.

The launderette is situated behind Papa Johns and all machines are coin operated. Opening times may vary throughout the year so please call Holiday Guest Reception for further details. Please do not leave your laundry unattended, as we cannot take responsibility for your items.
Guests are required to use their own washing powders and soft rinses – all of which can be purchased from the SPAR shop.

Please:

  • Do not use any metallic cookware or tinfoil in the appliance
  • Do not heat airtight or vacuum-sealed containers
  • Do not operate the microwave when it’s empty
  • Do not cover the rear ventilation slots with paper or cloths
  • Do not touch heating elements or interior oven walls
  • Take care when heating liquids and baby foods – stir during heating and do not over fill

Nespresso Machines can be found in our Sapphire, & Diamond Cottages, Pine Lodges & All Signature Properties. A starter pack of coffee pods is provided within your accommodation. Additional coffee pods can be purchased on request from Holiday Guest Reception. Additional charges apply.

Guests staying in our Signature Properties or Motel will be provided with complimentary toiletries. In all other accommodation, we provide a bar of soap per bathroom and a couple of toilet rolls to get you started. A wide range of toiletries can be purchased from the SPAR Shop, or if you want to treat yourself to some gorgeous sun or facial products call into The Spa Hotel.

Washers/dryers are available in applicable accommodation (Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Pine Lodges, Dog Friendly PLUS, and all Signature Properties). If you require specific instructions or if you experience any problems with your appliance please contact Holiday Guest Reception.

Here on The Village, we promote clean, green spaces - which is why we ask that you dispose of your waste and recylicing properly at the end of your visit. Information about our waste disposal procedures should be on display in your property. If you haven't seen our poster, you can view it here.
