Security Notice from Head of Security, Daniel Elstone

4 March 2022 - (17:30)

Dear Owners,

I would like to thank you for your support and assistance last year in observing the security guidance, investing in alarms and alerting the security team to any suspicious activity on the Village.

Following the pandemic, we now find ourselves in another situation where the cost of living is increasing and commodities are proving harder to come by,  for these reasons we should anticipate the potential for opportunists visiting the Village.

-If you see someone acting suspicious or in a place you wouldn’t expect to see them, challenge them, say hello and ask if you can help, this will either deter a criminal or reassure you have their interests at heart.

- If something doesn’t appear right it probably isn’t, don’t be afraid to follow your gut instinct.
- Consider your daily activities and if they can be changed / adapted. (Lights left on, curtains open / closed)
- Don’t leave high value items on display or in an accessible place that is unattended.
- Ensure all windows and doors are secured when your holiday home is vacant
- Secure items stored externally to your lodge (padlocking sheds and storage areas)
- If you have an alarm ensure it is set, if you don’t have an alarm and would like a quote please contact Holiday Home Sales office.
- Report immediately any suspicious activity to the security team (01772 674444)

When reporting, please remember time is of the essence and attention to detail is key, if you manage to get an image or recording please send to the security team via WhatsApp on 07885 998700

Please be vigilant and rest assured all reported instances will be followed up by the security team and where necessary reported to the local authorities. On 23rd March, we apprehended two individuals known to the police, so working together really can keep the Village secure.
