Family Activity Centre: construction update for Owners

Dear Holiday Home Owner, 
  
We wanted you to be the first to receive an update on an important development taking place at Ribby Hall Village. 
  
Planning permission has now been granted for a new £18 million Family Activity Centre, with construction due to begin in September 2026 on the site of the former Equestrian Centre. 
  
The development follows feedback gathered over recent years. A consistent theme has been the desire for more all-weather activities, more for teenagers and more experiences that families of different ages can enjoy together. 
  
Over the coming months, we’re looking forward to sharing much more about the Family Activity Centre, including the plans and experiences it will bring to the Village. For now, we wanted to make sure our Holiday Home Owners, as stakeholders in the business, were informed about the development and what to expect as construction begins. 
  
What to expect during construction 
  
Construction is expected to take approximately 18 - 20 months, with the initial groundworks phase likely to be the busiest period for construction activity. 
  
The construction site itself is located away from your Holiday Home area. However, you may notice increased construction traffic entering and moving through the Village, particularly during the earlier stages of the project. 
  
Normal construction activity will generally take place between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, although occasional specialist works or deliveries may be required outside of these times. 
  
We’ll be working closely with our contractors throughout the project to minimise disruption wherever possible. This will include careful planning of construction activity, regular road cleaning, screening around the site where possible and maintaining safe access around the Village. 
  
Village facilities remain open as usual, so you’ll still be able to enjoy our restaurants and bars, swimming, activities, entertainment, Wild Discovery, The Spa and much more.  
  
We appreciate that a development of this scale may naturally raise questions, and we want to keep Holiday Home Owners informed as the project progresses. We’ll share further updates at key stages, particularly where there are any changes that may affect access.
