Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade

Dear owner,

I am writing to inform you that in the New Year we will commence a three year project to upgrade our electrical infrastructure for the holiday home area of the Village. This is a significant investment for our owners, and will involve excavation work to implement new electrical cabling to all holiday homes, as well as replacing most meters and cabinets. It will allow us to provide a larger electrical supply to each holiday home should owners wish to upgrade or add additional facilities to their holiday homes; it will also provide more resilience to the network. Once complete it will help to strengthen our wi-fi infrastructure and future -proof the network should larger bandwidth capacity become available to us at a future date. We are also increasing the coverage of security cameras within the holiday homes area.

The infrastructure work will take place in phases, with the first phase commencing in mid – January. The first phase will include Hawks Bay, Eagles Nest and Herons View. The first phase it will take place during the annual close down period, we do not expect any disruption to our owners, however as the power will be off for a period, we would recommend turning off all appliances, and turning the trip switches to the ‘off position’ inside the holiday home; as well as emptying fridge freezers prior to leaving for the close down. We will of course keep owners informed of progress.

We anticipate that the next phase will commence in January 2024.
