Blackpool

Distance: 10-15 minutes

Ribby Hall Village is only 8 miles away from the seaside resort of Blackpool. Boasting three miles of golden sands and a huge variety of entertainment and attractions. Make sure that you check out Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Madame Tussaud's Waxworks, SEA LIFE, Blackpool Zoo and Blackpool Tower - home to the world famous Ballroom and The Tower Circus.

Take a tram down the promenade, better known as the Golden Mile, or enjoy the Blackpool countryside experience with its series of nature walks from Stanley Park. Book tickets to one of the excellent shows at a choice of six theatres or simply hire a deckchair, take a donkey ride or visit the three piers. From September to November, the unmissable Blackpool Illuminations light up the promenade in the greatest free lights show on earth.

Lytham St Annes

Distance: 15 minutes

Lytham is a pretty, leafy town boasting history and heritage; excellent shopping; peaceful gardens and parks and a vibrant café society. Lytham is renowned for its Green and its landmark Windmill which houses a registered museum depicting the town's by-gone age.

St Annes-On-Sea is a traditional seaside resort, re-invented for the 21st Century. With its modern walk-ways, gardens, pier, a variety of shops, cafés and restaurants, a huge sandy beach and four championship golf courses.

Wrea Green

A short walk from Ribby Hall Village, picturesque, tranquil and idyllic, Wrea Green is one of the prettiest villages on the Fylde coast, having won several awards for being the best-kept village in the area. The main street is lined with thatched cottages leading to the Village Green with duck pond, pub and weekend cricket matches.

Dotted with secluded villages and old mill towns the Ribble Valley is perfect for walking, cycling and...shopping! Take your pick of fantastic farm shops and beautiful boutiques in towns such as Clitheroe, Whalley and Longridge.

Landmark galleries and museums, like Daniel Libeskind's Imperial War Museum North, the Museum of Science & Industry and the Manchester Art Gallery give you the chance to view fantastic permanent and touring exhibitions.
