Security Officer

An opportunity has arisen within the Village for a Security Officer to assist with providing a safe and secure environment for guests and employees across the Village, in a department that operates 24 hours a day - seven days a week.

Interested in: 

A candidate with previous experience in the security industry to work with an established team of security officers at this prestigious 5-star establishment. 

The main duties of the role will be: 

  • Patrolling the village and all departmental premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • To ensure the safety and welfare of all staff, customers and visitors to the village.
  • Answer all Intruder/Fire/Panic and Emergency alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, untidiness or unusual occurrences.
  • Call Emergency Services in cases of emergency, such as accident, fire, presence of unauthorized persons or incidents. Meet them at the main gate and direct or escort them to the incident. To then complete the required documentation.
  • Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
  • Drive company vehicles as required.
  • Monitor the main entrance to site, directing traffic and pedestrians to avoid congestion.
  • Support departments as required.

  • A valid Driving Licence is essential.
  • Being SIA Badge accredited and First Aid Trained would be desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided. 

This post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the role. 

Availability: 

We have 1 permanent contract available, offering 20 hours per week over 2 days, in a department that operates 7 days a week.  

Full flexibility to work days, early mornings, weekends, evenings and nights is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business. 

Salary:
