Casual Kitchen Assistant - The Orangery

An opportunity has arisen within the Village for a  Kitchen Assistant to work within The Orangery kitchen. The purpose of the role is to assist the smooth running of the kitchen. The chosen candidate will be working closely with the Kitchen and Front of House Teams to carry out a variety of duties to improve the operational effectiveness of the department.

An enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to work closely with our chefs, providing support to deliver a smooth service to our diners.  
 
The chosen candidate will be keen to work in all areas of the kitchen, helping chefs, assisting with deliveries, cleaning the kitchen areas and learning simple food preparation skills. It is important that you are friendly, helpful and keen to get involved with impeccable standards of hygiene and attention to detail.  
 
Our kitchen assistants need to stay one step ahead in a fast-moving, customer focused environment. 
 
Our perfect match will possess the following attributes: 

  • A working knowledge of Health and Safety Compliance. 
  • Resilience and the ability to perform well under pressure 
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance 
  • Flexibility  
  • A Food Safety certificate is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.  
     

Availability: 
We have one, zero-hour casual working position available in a department that operates 7 days a week. 

Full flexibility to work weekends and evenings is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business. 
 
Salary: 
We are proud to offer competitive hourly rates in excess of the National Minimum Wage.
