Interim Financial Controller

Our perfect match will possess the following essential attributes: 

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent. 
• Proven experience in a similar role. 
• Excellent analytical and leadership skills. 
• Familiarity of working with an ERP system, i.e. Xledger. 
• Keen to develop knowledge of self and others. 
• Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 
• The main duties of the role will include: 
• Lead the Finance Team in alignment with Ribby Hall Village’s Vision and Values. 
• Support the forecasting of business performance with the Director of Finance & IT. 
• Assist in the integration of financial systems and processes. 
• Support year-end planning, coordination, and audit preparation. 
• Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and best practices. 
• Take ownership of monthly Management Accounts, including P&L. 
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and internal controls. 
• Drive automation and efficiency in the Xledger finance system. 
• Oversee preparation and review of balance sheet and system reconciliations. 
• Maintain accountability for Finance department P&L, budgets, and financial performance. 
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness in Finance systems. 
• Act as a financial liaison with operational teams, providing advice and challenge where appropriate.
• Ensure policies, processes, and procedures meet or exceed relevant business standards. 

 
Availability: 
We have one fixed term, full time position offering 40 hours over 5 days in a department that operates Monday to Friday.  
 
Flexibility to work throughout the year including bank holidays is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business. 
 
Salary: 
Starting from £50,000 per annum-based on qualifications and experience.
