Duty Manager - Holiday Experience

We’re looking for a Holiday Experience Duty Manager with a strong creative flair to join our dynamic team at Ribby Hall Village. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help shape unforgettable moments for our guests through shows, themed events, and character experiences. 
 
As Duty Manager, you’ll support the Holiday Experience Manager in leading a talented team to deliver high-quality entertainment and activities across the village. 

The main duties of the role are: 

  • Performing in evening shows, pantomimes, and themed events. 
  • Creating choreography and training staff in performance styles. 
  • Ensure the team meets their targets in line with the business objectives. 
  • Ensuring rotas/schedules/holidays are planned and necessary business cover/availability is met. 
  • Assist with managing the Holiday Experience department budget, including rotas, equipment, and stock levels. 
  • Identify, develop, and implement opportunities to increase the efficiency, quality, and affordability across the Holiday Experience offering. 
  • Planning and delivering rehearsals, schedules, and creative content. 
  • Producing and writing character shows aligned with seasonal themes. 
  • Managing technology and merchandise sales for events like Winter Wonderland. 
  • Collaborate with departments such as Marketing, IT, and Finance to ensure smooth operations and creative alignment. 
  • Supporting team development through training, appraisals, and one-on-one meetings. 
  • Training staff on hosting, singing and entertainment styles.

  • A passion for performance and creativity, with experience in entertainment or events. 
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with experience in a similar role. 
  • Ability to inspire and train others in hosting, singing, and dancing. 
  • Technical understanding of sound and lighting for live events. 
  • A proactive mindset for identifying new opportunities and improving guest experiences. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments. 
  • Confidence in managing budgets, rotas, and stock levels.

Availability: 
We currently have 1, full-time position offering 40 hours over 5 days in a department that operates 7 days a week.   
 
Full flexibility to work weekends is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business.  
 
Salary:   
£30,000 per annum.
