An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dependable and proactive Assistant Security Manager to join our team. This key role supports the Security Manager in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees across the Village—24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The main duties of the role will be: 

  • Support the Security Manager with the effective daytoday running of the Security Team.  
  • Maintain the safety and security of the Village, ensuring our 5star standards are upheld at all times.  
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to Security Officers to ensure high performance and continuous development.  
  • Drive company vehicles as required in line with site procedures and safety regulations.  
  • Identify security issues promptly and take appropriate action, escalating where necessary.  
  • Prepare work schedules and delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth departmental operations.  
  • Patrol the Village and departmental areas to prevent and detect intrusion, ensuring all access points remain secure.  
  • Safeguard the welfare of all staff, guests, and visitors across the site.  
  • Respond to intruder, fire, panic, and emergency alarms, and investigate any disturbances.  
  • Complete clear, accurate, and timely reports on daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.  
  • Promote a positive team culture that supports wellbeing, morale, and high performance.  
  • Oversee the engagement and performance of agency personnel, ensuring the contracted service meets departmental expectations.  
  • Assist the Security Manager in conducting biannual performance reviews and setting objectives for team members.  
  • Organise and manage the departmental rota and clocking system to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times.
  • Provide support to the Security Manager on all team management matters. 

 
Our perfect match will possess the following essential attributes: 

  • A full, clean driving licence (essential). 
  • SIA accreditation and First Aid training is required. 
  • Ability to take responsibility for staff and guests in emergency situations. 
  • Confidence in managing incidents proactively, including conflict resolution. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 
  • Strong customer service and clear communication skills. 
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritise workload, and make sound decisions. 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a security team is essential to meet the demands of the role. 
  • Forward thinking and keen to generate new ideas. 
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation. 

This post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the role. 
 
Availability
We have one permanent position available, offering 45 hours across a consistent working pattern in a department that operates 7 days a week. 
 
This position involves night shifts, but flexibility is essential. You may be required to work days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and nights to support the business’s operational needs. 
 
Salary: 
Starting from £34,000 per annum.
