An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious candidate keen to join our fantastic TERRAZZA team as Assistant Restaurant Manager.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate supervisory or management expertise; a knowledge which is likely to have been acquired within a similar position in the hospitality Industry.

TERRAZZA at Ribby Hall Village offers a unique Italian styled family led dining experience with fresh locally sourced food for our guest’s enjoyment. 

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Take responsibility for the day to day operation of TERRAZZA in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with the operational objectives of the business and ensure tight control on costs is achieved in line with the P & L.
  • Plan & Analyse sales strategy with the Restaurant Manager, co-ordinating promotional activity & discount schemes.
  • Recruit team members in conjunction with HR to ensure that the training and development of the team and the department objectives are met.
  • Ensure all company H & S and Food Safety objectives and standards are achieved and that any faults are raised directly with the Restaurant Manager or the H & S advisor.
  • Focus on “service” standards in the business and, in conjunction with the Training Manager, continue to improve the overall professional standards.
  • Communicate effectively with all areas of the overall business in order to facilitate high standards across Ribby Hall Village.
  • Ensure TERRAZZA operates to its maximum potential.

Our Perfect match will possess the following essential attributes:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supervisory or Management role.
  • Pro-active, self- motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Excellent Food & Liquor control skills.
  • The ability to manage, motivate and inspire a team to ensure the smooth running of The TERRAZZA
  • An exceptional level of front of house service.
  • Evidence of previous responsibility for Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding customer service.
  • Resilience and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Excellent personal presentation.

This post will be subject to a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the role.


The position is full time, 5 days from 7, Monday - Sunday. The normal hours of work are 45 per week in an operation which opens from 12 noon – 9p.m throughout the week and 12 noon -8p.m on Sunday. Full flexibility to work weekends and evenings is, therefore, essential to meet the commercial needs of the business.
