Made in Lancashire

Made in Lancashire is dedicated to promoting, supporting and developing businesses that produce either a food, drink, art or craft item within the county of Lancashire. It offers consumers a stamp of recognition to identify locally produced items. Each business which displays the Made in Lancashire logo is either a producer or stockist of locally produced food, drink, arts and crafts. This means less food miles, less packaging and less additives and a better understanding of where and how a product is made.

Ribble Valley Meats

The Ribble Valley Free Range Meat Company was formed by the Beary family who have years of experience farming livestock. They have a commitment to providing the finest quality, traditional meat from their pedigree herd of rare-breed Gloucester Old Spot pigs. Their herd is reared outdoors on a natural diet, in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley.

Honeywell’s Meats

Run for two generations, this rural based family company supplies the best of the North West’s meats sourced from local farms and livestock markets. The meat is traditionally matured, prepared and cut as required by a dedicated team of master butchers. Home- cured ham and bacon and artisan food products are also made on site.

Lakes Speciality Foods

Lakes Speciality Foods are specialist butchers based in Staveley, near Kendal who supply locally-sourced, award-winning bacon and sausages from traditionally-reared Cumbrian Pigs. They have won three Gold Medal awards for their sausages including the National title of Britain’s Best Banger for their Cumberland Pork with Black Pudding Sausage. They have also won four Gold Awards for their bacon which they cure and smoke themselves. Their range of pork products ticks all the right boxes for traceability, locality, sustainable farming and low food mileage.

Lathams

Latham's recipe of success developed over thirty years ago when Gwen Latham started making desserts for her sister's hotel. Other neighbouring hotels recognised the quality of her desserts and the business expanded. Now, under the leadership of her son, the business employs more than seventy people and supplies numerous local businesses in the North West of England. The company also has two retail outlets and a large bakery in Fulwood, Preston. Lathams keep their excellent reputation by using only the best quality ingredients, sourced mainly from local farms and producers, enhancing the homemade taste.
