Wrea Green
The centre of Wrea Green is just a ten minute walk from Ribby Hall Village. Picturesque, tranquil and idyllic, Wrea Green is one of the prettiest villages on the Fylde coast and has won several awards for being the best-kept village in the area. The main street is lined with thatched cottages leading to the Village Green which plays host to the duck pond, the pub and weekend cricket matches.

Lytham St Annes
Lytham St Annes consists of both Lytham, and a couple of miles down the coast, St Annes-On-Sea. Lytham is a pretty, leafy town boasting history and heritage, excellent shopping, peaceful gardens and parks and a vibrant café society. Lytham is renowned for its Green and its landmark Windmill which houses a registered museum depicting the town’s by-gone age. There are facilities for tennis and bowls at Lowther Gardens, plus Fairhaven Lake for sailing and boating.
St Annes-On-Sea is a traditional seaside resort, re-invented for the 21st Century, catering for visitors of all ages. With its modern walk-ways, gardens, entertainment areas such as Pleasure Island, a four screen cinema, the Pier, a variety of shops, cafés and restaurants plus a huge sandy beach, St Annes is a fantastic destination to entertain all the family.Lytham St Annes is also famous for its Golf Links. Fleetwood

East Lancashire Railway, Rossendale
The East Lancashire Railway is a mainly steam hauled service between Heywood, Bury, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall. This popular steam railway offers a day out for all the family, and you get all the trimmings you expect on a railway - tunnels, level crossings etc. You can break your journey at any station to visit the shops, Dickensian Ramsbottom or the fabulous Bury Market before rejoining the East Lancs Railway to complete your journey. The Harris Museum, Preston
The Harris Museum offers the best of contemporary art and of Preston's heritage in a beautiful Grade 1 listed building. What's more, it's free! Ribchester Roman Museum
Located on the north bank of the beautiful River Ribble, the museum has recently reopened after major development of its facilities and displays. Roman Ribchester is brought to life by dramatic displays including a life size cavalryman and Roman legionary. Columns have been erected for the first time in 2000 years and there are wonderful objects which have never been seen before alongside favorites like the replica of the Ribchester parade helmet.
