Membership and Sales Adviser
Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within the Village for a Membership and Sales Adviser based in the Sport and Leisure Department.
The position is initially part time: The minimum hours of work are 25 per week.
Full flexibility to cover weekends and regular evenings is essential.
The role is designed to support the activities of the Sport and Leisure Membership Sales Department, to increase the revenue of the business through the sale of memberships, deal with existing member’s membership queries and administration and to generate leads.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Good communication and people skills.
Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope well under pressure
Ability to work on their own initiative within a work environment
Excellent PC skills – all Microsoft office packages
Ability to operate within a team environment.
Receptiveness to Continuous training and development.
An outline of the main duties of the role is as follows:
Conduct sales tours of the facilities and give guidance to prospective customers on the type of membership category best suited to their needs and requests.
Administration of membership paperwork.
Promotional activities and drive to meet sales targets.
Cash handling.
Competitor analysis.
Generation of new business by visiting corporate sites and assisting with new business outreach.
Courtesy calls to all new members.
