Harrisons Bar, the Over 18s Bar located in the Health Club, Ribby Hall Village, re-opens its doors today following an impressive and extensive makeover by designer Lisa Power from Imd and Associates Ltd (Architectural and Interior Design).
The newly refurbished, adult-only, Harrisons Bar re-design has a more contemporary edge and includes a brand new bar with an innovative central island and water feature. The interior has a mix of comfortable low seating and also high poseur tables, a new feature fire and several huge flat screen high definition televisions for showing major sporting events.
There is now a separate area for the pool table and the design incorporates a central timber floor, which doubles as a dance floor. This, with a state-of-the-art sound & light system means that Harrisons Bar is now the perfect setting for its new live entertainment programme with acts being showcased on most Saturdays and Bank Holidays (refer to website for details). There will also be a monthly quiz.
Harrisons will be serving different guest ales from Moorhouses & Thwaites Brewery alongside a new wine and cocktail menu and an extensive range of World Beers.
This is the first ‘makeover’ for Harrisons Bar since 2002 when the original Beaumonts Bar was transformed into Harrisons Bar.
Jonathan Wright, Bar Manager at Ribby Hall Village comments: “We’re so pleased to be re-launching Harrisons Bar. We think our members and guests will really benefit from the new look, new drinks menu and new entertainment programme on offer. It can be enjoyed in so many different ways now – exciting and fun times ahead!”
Designer Lisa Power from Imd and Assoc Ltd (Architectural and Interior Design) says: “We’re really pleased with the way Harrisons Bar is looking now. It’s far more contemporary and there’s so much more on offer. And watch this space as there’s more to come in June…!”
