The Restaurant at Ribby Hall Village introduces its Monday night Chip Shop Tea.  The perfect solution for the beginning of the week when you don’t feel like cooking.  Excellent value fish and chips in stylish surroundings using the very best produce and all home-made.

Head chef Simon Ball has taken great pride in sourcing the very best premium local Haddock from Fleetwood for your Monday night tea.  He is coating the fish in his secret recipe, super crispy batter and serving it with his legendary triple cooked hand cut chips.  All the pies are homemade.  The sensational pickling trolley includes tomato ketchup, vinegar, red salt and big glass jars of home-pickled eggs and onions.  The pickling trolley will be brought to the table with your main course.

Bevan Middleton, Manager of The Restaurant at Ribby Hall Village says: “We’ve introduced the Chip Shop Tea as an affordable way to have an informal and relaxing supper on Monday evening when you least feel like cooking.  Everyone loves a chip shop tea and Simon’s promises to be one of the best – everything is home-made using the best ingredients.  At The Restaurant we like to take a well-loved simple meal and turn it into something special.  You should try our steak night on Wednesday too!”

ENJOY GREAT FOOD ON YOUR SPA BREAK – THE SPA HOTEL AT RIBBY HALL VILLAGE ENTERS MICHELIN GUIDE 2013

Posted on January 16th, 2013

The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green is delighted to have been included in the Michelin Guide 2013.  The Spa Hotel is a unique adult-only destination in the North West combining an indulgent and relaxing spa break with delicious food.

In total, 346 restaurants and 138 hotels have been added to the guide this year; the ‘New’ (N) symbol has been introduced to highlight these establishments.

The Brasserie, is an adult-only dining destination in the award-winning Spa Hotel where fine food meets fine surroundings. Headed up by Hotel Manager Andrew Scott and Head Chef Michael Noonan, the team at The Brasserie take pride and passion in providing the highest quality seasonal and locally sourced food in a relaxed modern atmosphere.

Ribby Hall Village Operations Director, Mark Partington says:

“It seems the anonymous inspection by Michelin was achieved through our positive tripadvisor comments, with many guests describing the food served in The Brasserie to be of “Michelin” standard.  Michelin picked this up and chose to visit us much sooner than we would have expected and, happily, concluded that we were to be highly recommended.  It’s a reflection of how hard we’ve worked to establish ourselves in this area in just 18 months.”

Head Chef Michael Noonan who’s enjoyed an illustrious career, including working at The Sydney Opera House and a 6-year career with Heathcote, joined Ribby Hall Village in 2010. During that time he’s created and encouraged amazingly high standards of food. At The Brasserie culinary highlights include a starter of Soft boiled duck egg, celery salt, torn ham hock croquette, homemade salad cream. Mains include Roast loin of cod, mash, samphire, potted shrimp, shellfish foam.

The Brasserie offers delicious lunch and dinner menus and a decadent afternoon tea, complete with champagne from the Champagne Bar should you want an extra treat!

Excited staff at Ribby Hall Village

Thanks to customer demand for Ribby Hall Village’s vast array of products and services for local residents, the company continues to go from strength to strength and when both locally and nationally companies are having to streamline their organisational structures and staff numbers, Ribby Hall Village is currently in the midst of yet another recruitment drive, culminating in more than 100 new staff joining the company in less than 12 months.

Mark Partington, Operations Director at Ribby Hall Village was keen to point out the importance of attracting local people to use the fantastic facilities on offer,

“Ribby Hall Village is very much geared towards providing local people with everything from traditional beauty treatments to fabulous full on spa pamper days to delicious homemade café lunches in the NEW Lavender Tea Room to afternoon tea and dinner in The NEW Brasserie at The Spa Hotel.   In addition to the international brands we work with including Starbucks, Papa John’s, OPI and Dermalogica to name a few, we’re extremely proud of all we have to offer, and so every time we talk to someone locally about what’s new or indeed an event that’s happening at The Village, it’s always disappointing when you hear ‘Oh, I didn’t realize Ribby is open to local residents.’  We’re hoping that our Magazine will start to help us talk to those who enjoy living in the surrounding towns and villages that could also benefit from spending a little time with us.  Hopefully this is going to be the first of many editions!”
