Nikki Albanese has been appointed as The Spa Hotel Manager at soon to open The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village, Lancashire. The new 42-room luxury hotel is set to become one of the Norths leading spa destinations from August 2011 and with Nikkis many years of spa and beauty experience to draw on, there couldn’t be a better person at the helm.
Hailing from Blackpool, Nikki aged 40 now lives in St Annes and has spent the past 15 years overseeing the ever-growing beauty offering at Ribby Hall Village. The success of her private beauty business there, ‘Transformations,’ has laid strong foundations for quality and customer service on which the new Spa operation is being built. Nikki will have an 80-strong team that includes Andrew Scott, The Hotel Manager and Joanne Deary, The Spa Manager.
“This really has been the most wonderful journey so far – helping to craft the plans for our very own Spa Hotel and knowing that the specification is so high and will include everything on my wish-list, is a dream come true. I just can’t wait to open now and see the look of delight when our guests step foot through the door. The whole Spa Hotel experience from check-in to check-out is set to create the perfect oasis of peace, relaxation and pure indulgence for mind, body and soul. ”
As well as a host of treats in store at The Spa Hotel such as an aqua thermal journey with seven heat experiences, one of the best wet areas in the North West, fourteen treatment rooms, a brasserie and bar, a fully-equipped gym for the more energetic guests and 42 beautifully appointed bedrooms, including two penthouses and 12 suites. The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village also boasts a vast range of treatments and wellbeing therapies some of which will be exclusive to The Spa Hotel plus some tailored packages available to both residents and non-residents.
Nikki has played a vital role in terms of the design and layout of the new Spa Hotel, bringing her expert knowledge of therapies, treatments and spa experiences full-stop to the fore. She has worked tirelessly with Mark Partington, Operations Director at Ribby Hall Village during the past three years to ensure the multi-million pound investment has, what she describes as, ‘the wow factor’.
Nikki started her career at Marks & Spencer in Personnel Management where she initially worked in every department, from warehouse to fashions. This highly responsible job underpinned Nikki’s strong work ethic and commitment to both delivery and service – both qualities that have stood her in good stead to date.
Nikki can pinpoint the exact moment she realised she wanted a career in beauty: it was when her parents bought her a Girls World Doll! When asked what she’d be doing if she wasn’t about to alight on the job of her dreams, Nikki says “Presenting This Morning with the silver fox himself, who doesn’t love Phillip Schofield”. She is fanatical about Wii Fit and can often be seen working out with her virtual personal trainer “Steve” who is extremely attentive but undoubtedly no competition for her real-life partner who is also a personal trainer. She can’t resist the skateboard arena where she recently reached Championship status so even in her down time fitness is a big part of her life.
Said Mark Partington,
“Appointing Nikki as The Spa Hotel Manager has been fundamental to our plans from day one. She is passionate about every aspect of the business and her attention to detail is rooted in her long-standing experience as a seasoned practitioner. We’ve researched every top quality spa destination the length and breadth of the country and can say that we’re absolutely sure we’ve got a winning combination that will marry superb spa facilities, first class treatments, products and therapies with affordability and the very best in customer service. Importantly, Nikki understands that at its heart, Ribby Hall Village has a culture of friendliness, warmth and great hospitality and she will ensure these vital qualities are an integral part of the new venture from the offset.”
