Environmental Policy
In March 2009, Ribby Hall Village received Five Star accreditation as a Holiday Village from Visit Britain. Located on the Fylde Coast, within 100 acres, Ribby Hall Village is committed to offering the highest level of service and quality of facilities to all audiences including holiday guests, holiday home owners, business delegates, banqueting guests, sport & leisure members and day visitors.
As a business we understand that in providing services for all of the above mentioned audiences, there will be to some degree, an impact on the environment. Our aim is therefore to reduce the impact of the activities carried out within The Village without compromising on the standard of service provided. In order to achieve our aim, we must:
- Measure our performance by setting benchmarks and targets for continual improvement for past, current and future projects
- Control pollution by reducing our environmental impact
- Ensure environmental consideration from our chosen suppliers – we expect a high quality of product / service, as well as a high standard of environmental integrity
- Ensure legislated environmental requirements are a minimum standard – best practice will be observed wherever is applicable
- Train employees – ensuring all staff are aware of the environmental impact of their daily activities
- What they can do to minimise their impact in order to help The Village to meet its environmental goals
- Communicate targets and achievements to all staff, customers and suppliers – helping to ensure continued efforts and success
We are committed to
- Reducing waste to landfill by reducing waste and recycling as much as is operationally possible
- Reducing energy consumption with an ongoing program of improvements
- Continually improving our environmental performance by reviewing new technologies and methods of business
We hope to create a sustainable business that will enable Ribby Hall Village staff and visitors to enjoy The Village for many more years to come.
